Start the New Year by Developing a Marketing Plan

The new year is around the corner and getting your business or organization’s marking plan into high gear at the start of the year is essential to improving your brand.  Here are some steps to get things rolling for 2017.

1.  Develop a Budget– First, you need to establish a budget so you know how much you have to work with.  Marketing your business/organization does not always have to cost a lot of money.  If you don’t have a big budget that is fine you are just going to have to be more creative.

2.  Select the Best Methods to Get Your Message Out-  There are a number of outlets to improve your brand. Selecting the right one to meet your needs is essential to maximize your return on investment.  Anything from TV/radio ads, print ads, to social media can be used to enhance your business/organization.

3.  Develop a Plan- You need to plan out when and which method of brand promotion you are going to use.  By developing a plan ahead of time you are work on gathering material to develop quality material.  By doing this you are going to be able to create material that is going to resonate with your customers.  Flying by the seat of your pants on this will only lead to poor quality material.

4. Implement Your Plan– Put your plan into place.  Get your promotion items out there to reach your customers and starting showing some returns on your time and effort.

5.  Evaluate What you Have Done- Is your plan working?  Have periodic times throughout the year evaluating what is working and what is not.  See if there is anything you can do to improve your plan, if so improve them.  You can use this information to help with your plan for 2018
